Riding Format Overview

Indoor Full Wave

Indoor wave venues can offer flexible session formats tailored to different group sizes, ages, and skill levels. These setups are designed to create a safe, structured, and engaging environment for all participants, whether they are first-time riders or experienced board sport enthusiasts.

Half Wave Sessions

Some indoor surf centers provide a divided wave option, where the riding surface is split into two separate sections. This arrangement is beneficial for small groups, beginners, or young riders. During the session, one side of the wave is typically allocated exclusively to a group for a set time, such as one hour. The opposite side may remain open to other guests. Sessions typically include guidance from a trained instructor and the use of equipment such as bodyboards or stand-up boards.

For larger groups or more advanced riders, full-wave sessions are an alternative option. These sessions allow unrestricted access to the entire wave surface for the scheduled duration. Riders can decide whether to use a divider or leave the wave open for continuous riding. The open format is particularly suited for practicing techniques, improving carving, or performing tricks. Full wave sessions may also allow for two riders to be on the wave simultaneously.

Indoor surf facilities may also provide accommodations for special occasions such as birthdays or group gatherings. These events often include reserved seating areas and the option to bring personal food items, including cakes. Some venues offer basic decorations or allow requests to tailor the setting for the event. These flexible arrangements help create a memorable and active environment suitable for a variety of celebrations.
